With gratitude, Law starts to paint ‘I Felt Heard’ series this year. She expresses the notion of assurance and contentment in forms of still life and landscape. She returns her first passion in painting; reflecting the artist’s memories between loves and lose, between aspirations and realistic expectations.
Mo Li Hua is a well-known Chinese folksong, which is a metaphor of a lady’s beauty as a blooming Jasmine. The artist did not understand this song when it was first introduced at her young age until she was grown up as a young woman. The artist was intended to paint it in a quiet mood, and her strokes suggested the objects were in her flashes of memories.
