Mami is a Contemporary artist / Singer-songwriter
“Painting is like writing a song without words”-Mami
She was born in Japan, raised in the United States of America.
Having worked in the entertainment industry in Tokyo as a vocalist, music has been a big part of Mami’s life. Painting, for her, is very close to writing a song without words.
Mami moved to Singapore in 2015 and has been exhibiting in a group and solo exhibitions in Asia and Europe as a contemporary artist since 2016.
She has displayed at cafes and restaurants around Singapore and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and Tokyo, Japan within the past three years (*Sushi restaurant Tamaya Dining at Cuppage Terrace in Singapore currently showcases her artworks as their interior decoration)
Mami continues to express and share her inner world and inspiration based on the concept of: “Definition, texture and a dash of shimmer. “
She is working in the music and entertainment industry since 18 years old. Music has always been a big part of Mami’s life, and adding “painting” to her journey has been a meaningful addition to her life as an artist.
She believes that these two tools of art have a lot to do with one another.
