Medha Nerurkar is a passionate, self-taught contemporary artist originally from India and based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Her work primarily features a modern contemporary style that artfully blends cubism and constructivism. Recently, her focus has shifted to geometrical abstract art, drawing inspiration from the philosophy of life and society’s social and cultural vignettes. Her paintings are deeply rooted in spiritual and aesthetic values, with a notable love for rich colours, which have become integral to her thematic compositions. Medha’s creative endeavours are expressed through iconic motifs and relevant metaphors, making her art thought-provoking and visually captivating.

Medha has actively participated in over 25 solo and group exhibitions of national and international acclaim, earning her several awards and accolades. Her dedication has allowed her to carve a niche in the contemporary art world of Dubai and achieve significant milestones in her career.

Medha has been living in Dubai for the past 26 years. A pharmacist by profession, she worked for Glaxo SmithKline for 11 years before fully embracing her artistic passion. Medha’s love for travel, culture, and heritage is vividly reflected in her acrylic paintings, which are showcased in the USA, UAE, and India. She believes that art is a journey of a free soul and an expression of one’s inner self, imagination, and experiences.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Medha is committed to giving back to society. She provides free art lessons and materials to schoolchildren in rural India, fostering creativity and creative expression in the younger generation.
