Currently based in Singapore, Volha Bazyleva was born in Belarus and has loved drawing since she was a child.

After pursuing her tertiary education at the Institute of Business in Minsk (Belarus) and moving to Germany after graduation to start a corporate career, Volha later relocated to Italy, following her passion for creativity and taking up a role as an art teacher. This experience enabled Volha the freedom to explore new mediums and techniques and ultimately caused her to realise a deep love for painting. As a result, she decided to dedicate her future career to creating her artworks.

Typically created using oil and acrylic paints, Volha’s pieces tend to take on contemporary art styles. Recognised for her portraits of prominent figures, one of Volha’s most well-received paintings features her realistic composition of then-Pope Benedict.

Volha has created portraits of other famous personalities, including Luis Durnwalde, an Italian Politician, and Gloria, Dowager Princess of Thurn and Taxis, a German socialite and philanthropist. Volha’s work had been lauded by Italian and German media alike, who commented on her flair for portraying the Belarusian soul in her artworks.

Volha’s style leans towards modernism, and we can see a break from tradition, Individualism, and disillusionment in her work.

Throughout her career, Volha has also participated in multiple exhibitions in locations such as Northern Italy and Germany.
