Fond of fine arts since childhood, Liubing Jiang received formal training in Chinese painting from his early years and continued to pursue his passion in art, later enrolling in the Oil Painting department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. With over 20 years of painting experience, Liubing is an Asian Contemporary painter and Professor in the Fine Arts Department of the Central Nationalities Institute in Beijing. He is also a member of the China Artists’ Society, China Artists’ Society Mural Art Committee, and one of the founders of the Beijing Oil Painting Research Association. Typically working with ink and paper, Liubing’s artworks centre on mountainous and natural landscapes in the style of Chinese Art. One of his most renowned paintings to date is Creation, Harvest, Joy, a mural produced together with his wife, Zhou Ling, who is an artist known for her vibrant pieces. The painting measures 20’ x 55’ and illustrates over 20 Chinese minorities.From 1985 to 1987, Liubing toured Europe while living and working as a guest artist at the invitation of the French government. He was also awarded the silver medal in the 1986 French Salon, Paris, and was given the French National Gold Medal for Painting the same year. His artworks have been published in numerous art magazines and won many awards in painting and calligraphy exhibitions.
