Born in Hong Kong, Meley Law is an accomplished artist and painter who has received her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Painting with Distinction from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, a Diploma in Fine Arts from Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore and a Diploma in Art and Design from Manchester Metropolitan University. Travelling the world during her early 20Meley'sy's relaxed and serene mindset led her to a once-in-a-lifetime experience which in turn led her artworks to be essentially landscape formats done in an abstract style. She expresses her assurance and contentment during these times in the forms of still life and landscape. Since resuming her career in fine arts painting in 2018 after a 16-year hiatus to raise her family, Meley started to paint her 'I FeHeard'rd' series. The series was inspired by a story by Tolkien, titled 'Leaf by Niggle’, which provided her with certainty on her decision to return to painting. While reflecting on her memories of love and loss, along with the differences between aspirations and realistic expectations, she translates her realization of the virtue of faith, hope and love from the story; with gratitude to her artwork series. Recently, Meley exhibited her new paintings series "n "Resurrecting L "fe", "6th Pameran Poskad 2" 18", "New Finds" gs", "Tatinis Art Show 2" 19", "Blessed Asia 2" 19" group exhibitions a "d "Every Step Cou" ts", a project under Amanda Heng which was commissioned by Singapore Biennale 2019.
