Natalia Novikova was born on 9 November 1976 in Moscow, Russian Federation. From early childhood, she travelled around the country, living in the Arctic, the Far East, and the Baltics. She currently lives in Moscow. Having resided in the Arctic, the Far East, and the Baltics during her formative years, Natalia's art reflects the rich tapestry of these experiences, with a solid connection to her current home in Moscow. Under the mentorship of Alexey Alekseevich Kleidins, Natalia honed her artistic skills, exploring various techniques such as graphics, gouache, watercolour, and pastel. She also studied under the Honoured Artist of Russia, Mark Viktorovich Ginzburg, renowned for his innovative painting teaching methods. Natalia's journey in the art world began with her graduation from the Art and Graphic Department of the Moscow Pedagogical State University of VI Lenin in 1998, where she focused her thesis on jewellery art. Subsequently, she joined the International Art Fund in 1999, garnering recognition with a silver medal as a "Participant VVC" in 2007. In 2016, Natalia became a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, forging partnerships with the publishing house "Nash Izograf" and actively participating in exhibitions in Moscow and beyond. Her current artistic focus lies in urban landscapes, exploring the intricate relationship between the city and its inhabitants, often expressed under the pseudonym Natalia Voroshilova. Natalia Novikova's creations can be found in the collections of prestigious institutions like the Moscow Museum, Lipetsk Art Museum, Kolomensky Kremlin Museum, Sergiev Posad Museum of Toys, Kargopol Museum of History and Architecture, Museum of the Kenozersky National Park, and the Moscow Pedagogical State University Museum. Moreover, her work adorns numerous private and corporate collections across Russia, Europe, and Asia, embodying a unique fusion of her extensive travels and artistic talent.
