Mo Li Hua (Jasmine) No.2, Meley Law (Hong Kong) – Exquisite Art
Mo Li Hua (Jasmine) No.2 . With gratitude, Law started to paint the ‘I Felt Heard’ series this year. She returns to her first passion in painting, reflecting the artist’s memories between love and loss, aspirations and realistic expectations. She expresses the notion of assurance and contentment in the forms of still life and landscape.
Mo Li Hua is a well-known Chinese folksong metaphor for a lady’s beauty as a blooming Jasmine. The artist did not understand this song when it was first introduced at a young age until she was grown up as a young woman. The artist intended to paint it in a quiet mood, and her strokes suggested the objects were in her flashes of memories.
